One afternoon of wetter weather opens up the night.

It is rumoured that with each season, the moon's light grows more distant.
Despite that measured dim, this evening, foot-stepped lengths between city blocks are shorter, and
pockets are enough to warm hands.

A road that winds alongside the river
is now, itself, a waterway.
